M/b LauluVene
Our main work horse is the Sipoo-built small but still comfortable Marino Super V-18 HT boat with the ever so reliable Yamaha two stroke 70 hp engine. At 5,4 meters long it is just perfect for the normal weather conditions even in the outer archipelago. Once its manufacturer’s most luxurious build, the Marino V-18 was built to last – and it has been in service already since 1969! With its classic looks and fully updated safety equipment it is an appreciated sight for fellow seafarers even in the most far away distances along the Finnish Gulf.
Aptly named M/b LauluVene (litterally: Song Boat) it has been our main skipper Kristian’s – who also happens to be a professional musician since 1994 – primary boat for over 5 years now.
M/b LauluVene can accomodate up to 5 passengers and a small amount of luggage. She is also the perfect choice for watersports. As she is equipped with at strong 70 hp engine with a lot of torque, she’s the perfect choice for instance for waterskiing being able to pull up also bigger persons.
M/y Brünnhilde
Built by the Sarin family company SB (nowadays known as Sargo Ltd), a company specialized in boats for professional use in the toughest environments, this Minor 29 is the newest add to our fleet. The newest version of this boat model is a popular choice for Police vessel in for instance Norway and Germany. M/y Brünnhilde is registered for up to 15 persons, in charter use her maximum passenger allowance is 12 passengers.
She is equipped with the latest state of the art safety and navigation equipment, which allows for operations also in poor and extreme weather conditions. Her area of operation include all domestic and international waters along the Baltic Sea.
With her semi-displacement hull she calmly traverses the seas with dignity and style. She is equipped with a extremely reliable Volvo Penta 200 hp marine diesel engine.
Our staff
Skipper, CEO and founder of Finnish Gulf Travels Ltd. Kristian Meurman has spent over 40 years in the outer archipelagos of Sipoo and Porvoo. Equipped with charter boat driving licence and CEVNI certificate for both inner waterways and the seas, he has been functioning as a charter boat driver in the area since 2021. Kristian is also an active naval reservist who spent his military conscript period in the Coastal Artillery of the Finnish Navy.
In addition to Kristian, our family company employs seasonal workers and offers (paid) internships for students with relevant study fields during the peak season. We also take great pride in our hand picked co-operating partners and subcontractors with whom we do our best to deliver the perfect service at a reasonable price.
